The triptych Stacks makes a group of file stacks unfamiliar by focusing on color and form over recognizability, painting the stacks themselves with the translucency of skin to hint at the underpainting’s veins. The office these files come from has a stagnant atmosphere, the minimal interaction with or around these files subtly changes them over time, this information is more relevant than their contents.
